STEP 2: We meet and talk about it. Based on what you said, we then meditate, breathe and stretch a bit.

Hi, my name is Tatjana Glogovac. I have been studying yoga for over 9 years.

·I am a certified teacher of yoga and meditation (AYM, Rishikesh, India)

· educator and researcher with a background in mindfulness, emotional intelligence, learning,

digital learning and self-development

· teacher with 3 degree in humanistic sciences and applied linguistics

I’ve been living in a kind of self-chosen social isolation for 2 years now, so I hear you. It can be challenging for one’s mental and physical health in all sorts of ways.

I can help.

As a teacher of humanistic sciences, the values I base my practice on are empathy, compassion and non-judgmental listening. You are okay just as you are. You just need to get the weeds out of your garden. With me you can talk, be vulnerable, sad or mad – you have a safe and non-judgmental space to be. You come, tell me about your day, unwind and do some yoga with me.

In my work, I combine ancient Eastern practices with Western science-based approach to health and well-being. From the perspective of a researcher and educator, it was neurosciences and cognitive sciences what first opened my mind for other, more conscious, states of mind.

Combined with ancient practices coming from the East to calm the body and mind, I have developed my own approach to teaching yoga – Mind Body Yoga.

For example, by consciously manipulating our breath so that the exhale is consistently longer than the inhale and maintaining the same rhythm for a few minutes, we can activate our parasympathetic system instead of our stress- based response – sympathetic autonomous nervous system. In other words, we consciously use our biology to relax – and much more.

As a mind body teacher, my approach is the one of cognitive embodiment. It’s when what you learn you embody, when the knowledge you possess becomes your wisdom.

I aim to spread the beauty of conscious awareness, and help as many people as possible to reach this state.

This is where our freedom lies – in the state of conscious awareness.

Remember, the pandemic period is a very good time to go inward and work with yourself because there are less temptations around. So, let’s establish a regular practice of how we can work together to include this state of mind in your life more.
